John’s walls were filled with his art

walls of art

Despite the multitude of art in his home, this is but a tiny fraction of the paintings he created in his life.

  1. I first met John before we were married through our family connection through Cecil Square Baptist Church,Margate. Then John and Rosemary were staying with my mother in law, Ruth Watling at the time we got married and moved in too. That started a lifelong connection between our two families. I remember a beautiful drawing ( coloured felt tips?) of boats in the harbour that John did for Ruth which was on the wall in her house in Albert Terrace, Margate.
John also gave me a lovely painting of a shire horse in a countryside setting but sadly I don’t know what has happened to it. It’s there in my minds eye so I won’t forget it .
For a time, John came to Beaconsfield House Christian Fellowship and met with us in the local group that was in our house in St Paul’s Road .
I am so sorry to hear of his passing and your family are in my thoughts. We are not able to come to the funeral as we are away until early March . Much love to you all.
